TUNED FOR FANS
TrackTune started with one goal: bring fans closer to the action. What began as a solution for listening to announcer audio from the stands has evolved into a full-scale platform that connects fans, creators, teams, and tracks through audio, content, and community.
Whether you're at the track, in the pits, or halfway across the country, TrackTune puts you in the moment. Live.
It Started in a Basement
Three friends, one late model, and a steady fuel line of caffeine
TrackTune was never a corporate brainchild. It began with a late model driver from Indiana, his two college buddies, and company headquarters in Cassten's parents' basement. A humble beginning, and one worth being proud of.
The idea came after a NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega. Cassten called his dad afterward the way he always did, and the excitement turned to jealousy when he realized his dad, who had watched on TV, knew more about the race than he did. How did the guy at home end up with a better seat than the guy actually at the track?
The fix was obvious: make the broadcast commentary accessible to the fans in the stands. Cassten could drive a car fast, but by his own admission he was about as resourceful with computers as a diffuser on a trunk lid, so he pitched Matt and Sam on a smartphone app that streamed over the internet instead of an antiquated radio receiver. A few months later, the team was ready to roll.
The goal has not changed since. Deliver a seamless, easy to use experience that gives fans more context to the excitement of the race, all in real time. No expensive radio equipment, no annoying paywalls, no more drowned out speaker systems. TrackTune works on any internet connectable device, and it is always free to fans.

Owner
Anissa Bezanson
Audiologist – Race Mom
Anissa, the current owner of TrackTune, is an audiologist specializing in hearing conservation. She founded Auditory Defense with a mission to raise awareness about hearing protection within the racing community. Her concern grew as she attended racing events with her son and saw firsthand how many spectators and participants were at risk of permanent hearing damage or tinnitus due to insufficient protection.
Despite safety being a cornerstone of motorsports, Anissa noticed a widespread lack of understanding around hearing protection. This gap drove her to create Auditory Defense and advocate for safer listening practices at tracks across the country.
During her work, she discovered the TrackTune app, a tool that streams live announcer audio directly to race fans' mobile devices, allowing them to hear over the roar of engines. Recognizing how this aligned with her mission, she saw an opportunity to integrate hearing protection with TrackTune's technology, enhancing the race-day experience while safeguarding hearing health.
Motivated by the synergy between the two missions, Anissa acquired TrackTune to expand its reach and continue promoting both hearing safety and race-day engagement.
Owner
Jim Bezanson
CTO – Racing Dad
Jim, TrackTune's co-owner and Chief Technology Officer, brings more than three decades of engineering and product development experience to the team. Before stepping into the racing world, Jim held leadership and technical roles at IBM and CrowdStrike, where he developed cutting-edge technologies, scaled enterprise systems, and led teams focused on innovation, performance, and security. His background spans everything from complex software engineering to strategic product management—skills that now power TrackTune's growth and reliability.
A lifelong problem-solver and racing dad, Jim saw firsthand the challenges fans and families face at the track: staying connected, engaged, and safe amid the roar of engines. With a career built on designing solutions that blend usability with technical precision, he now channels that expertise into shaping TrackTune's platform, ensuring it's not only robust and secure, but also easy and enjoyable for race fans everywhere.
When he's not architecting the next evolution of TrackTune, Jim can usually be found at the track supporting his son, on the golf course, or spending time with family.
